After that you should visit Sarnath Archaeological Museum which is one of the oldest sites. The museum houses the famous lion capital statue of Samrat Ashoka which is also the National symbol of India.

4. Ramnagar Fort

There are many Places to Visit in Varanasi, Ramnagar fort is one of them. Ramnagar fort located in Varanasi is situated on the holy bank of Ganga. This fort was built in Mughal architecture. In 1750 this fort was built by Kashi naresh Maharaj Balvant singh. This fort is located at distance of 14kms from Varanasi and 2 kms from Banaras hindu University. You can come here in other seasons except monsoon, but if you come here during monsoon, only ferry service is accessible to visit the fort during monsoon season. Tourists coming to Varanasi must visit this historical fort of Ramnagar. This is one of the best place to visit in Varanasi for couples, and also for family.
Ramnagar Fort is an ancient fort, if you want to see it from inside then you will have to pay a fee for it. The fort is closed in monsoon due to heavy rains or floods in the Ganges. It depends on the intensity of the rains. Tourists visit the Fort while taking a boat ride from dashwamedh ghat during the rainy season. It takes around one hour to reach the fort  from dashwamedh. You must visit here for the museum and temples in this fort.

By evening on the banks of the ganges, the atmosphere starts to be in devotion. Aarti is performed after sunset from 1991 till today. This Aarti is done for 45 minutes. At the time of Ganga Aarti, lamp in the water of the gangas creates a supernatural scene. You must have heard a lot about this Aarti, by evening on the banks of the Ganges, the atmosphere starts to be in devotion. With a crowd of priests or people from all over the country come here. Aarti of the Ganges takes place between the sound of the conch-bell, the sound of Damru and the chanting of holy Ganga. At the time of Aarti, there is a pilgrimage like atmosphere at dashwamedh ghat. this is the reason why Ganga Aarti is recognized all over the world.
